About the Sherline/Criterion Boring Head Arbors
This arbor/holder was suggested to us by one of our customers, Wayne Neilson.
We designed these two boring head arbors and holders for use with the Criterion S-1-1/2″ boring head on our Sherline milling machines.
The Criterion boring head is made in the USA and has been around for a long time. It is well made and very precise, making it a perfect fit for our machines.
The Morse #1 to 7/8-20 Criterion Boring Head (P/N 12131) mounts directly into the Morse #1 taper on our standard headstock spindle with our 1/4-20 x 5″ drawbolt and washer (included).
The End Mill Holder to 7/8-20 Criterion Boring Head (P/N 12141) threads onto our ¾-16 Morse #1 spindle thread (it comes with an included Tommy bar).
Choose the arbor or holder that best fits your needs. Then thread on your Criterion S-1-1/2″ Â boring head, and you are ready to start boring perfect holes.
